Management Team

Jeff Lyons

Chief Executive Officer

Jeff has over 24 years of technology industry experience, working in the semiconductor sector. Jeff gained his experience in a succession of marketing and account management roles at Silicon Systems (acquired by Texas Instruments) and Lattice Semiconductor. In the latter, Jeff served as the Major Account Manager for the company's largest customer, Cisco Systems while working in Silicon Valley. Jeff also spent several years working in Asia, primarily in Japan and Singapore.

Since then, Jeff served as CEO of an advanced graphics technology company in the UK, selling the company in 2002. Subsequently, Jeff worked with leading European technology venture capital firms including Amadeus Capital as a strategy consultant until joining Infinitesima in 2004.

Jeff has a Masters Degree in Management from the London Business School as a Sloan Fellow as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Fullerton State University in California. Jeff serves as a Mentor with the Entrepreneurship Programme at London Business School and speaks frequently at the school on the topic of technology commercialisation.

Dr. Andrew D. L. Humphris

Chief Technology Officer

Andrew is a founder of Infinitesima and his research has led to the development of the company's core technologies. As CTO, Andrew leads the company's research and development activities and has been instrumental in delivering all of the company's major technological breakthroughs.

Prior to founding Infinitesima, Andrew carried out his research in the Physics Department at the University of Bristol. During this time, Andrew was named a Research Fellow of the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851. He earned a Proleptic Lectureship in Physics at the University in May 2003.

Andrew's research has been concentrated in the area of nanoscience with a focus on developing novel tools for imaging at the nano-scale based on scanning probe microscope methods.

David Burgin

Engineering Manager

Dave has spent over 24 years of semiconductor industry experience, 20 years of which were spent with the industry's leading equipment supplier, Applied Materials. At Applied, Dave worked in a succession of roles of increasing responsibility culminating in the role of engineering manager. Dave has worked in the UK, Silicon Valley, France and Japan.

Dave earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Manchester University, graduating with Honours.

Keith Gambles

Operations Manager

Keith has 16 years operations experience in the nano technology industry, working for Queensgate Instruments as their production manager. Prior to that appointment, he worked in the electronics industry with British Aerospace and more recently with Martin Baker.

Keith has an HNC in Electronic Engineering and an MSc in Operations Management.
