Rapid Probe Microscopy

Rapid Probe Microscopy was developed by Dr. Andrew Humphris, the company's founder and CTO, while carrying out research at the University of Bristol. The technology is a major breakthrough in scanning probe microscopy (SPM) as it broke the speed barrier by a factor of 1000 times. Prior to the invention of RPM, probe microscopes required anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes to generate a single image. Similar images can be acquired by Rapid Probe Microscopy in milliseconds.
